What is ERA?

If you clicked this, you’re probably wondering what we’re all about!

ERA got its start back in 2015 originally as a fighting game team, however in 2021 American 4 key accuracy player Zenith created the rhythm game team as a separate branch of the original one. He created it with the goal of recruiting people who want competitive rhythm games to be an actual e-sport, and to bring those people together to create content, help/host tournaments, and help to further develop the growth of the genre.

As of March 2025, after 4 years of people joining and unfortunately leaving at some times, we are currently 50 members strong, with some notable members such as SillyFangirl, who is a 5 time podium placer and 2 time winner in the osu!mania World Cup from 2016-2022. Pheon, and test, who are both incredibly talented all-mode players, both of which are in the top 100 of the unofficial all-mode leaderboards.

Over the years, we have helped to support tournaments in the community in many ways. Whether it be through refereeing matches, helping with graphic design, mappooling, we have also had some artists in our roster creating custom songs for tournaments! While we haven’t hosted an official ERA tournament, some of our members have hosted tournaments such as the DACH 4k Championship, which is a regional osu!mania tournament most recently hosted in 2024, and most of the staff in it were members of our team!

Our current plans for what to do next is mostly to revive the activity within the team, with a new social media manager, and a potential revival of our youtube channel. We also have plans to write monthly news posts starting in May where we talk about what the players of ERA, along with what the team has been up to in the prior month, along with big news from around the rest of the community.

If you’ve read this far and are interested in joining us, some things to know is that we are unlike most other teams in that there is no skill requirement to join us. We are primarily looking for mature members of the community who harbor the same desire to bring competitive rhythm games to a higher standard. If you believe that you have those same desires, our applications will be opening sooner than you think.

Thank you for reading, and we hope to see you in the team someday!
